Ace & All The Other Animals is the solo project of Ace Duncan; an 18 year old singer-songwriter from Edinburgh. Wise beyond their years with a lyrical prowess matching that of Conor Oberst and Elliott Smith - and with an octave clambering voice that calls to mind Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, and Wesley Schultz - they will stop you before you even start making tracks. Capable of playing solo or usually backed by all the "Other Animals" - an ever rotating cast of friends and musicians, designed to keep the creative process fresh - no two shows are ever the same, but they are always mesmerising.
Already boasting an impressive catalogue of original songs, they took to the road in the Autumn of 2024, playing all across Scotland. This run included a captivating set at Dundee’s iconic Caird Hall, a packed show at Drummonds in
Aberdeen, and sell outs at both Glasgow’s Hug and pint and Edinburgh’s Sneaky Pete’s.
With further releases and shows planned in 2025 - it won’t be long before you too are boasting about when you first heard of them.
